In June & July of 2010, our family spent five weeks in Denmark and Sweden, visiting family farms and churches, actual family members, and learning about the very distinctive place that is Scandinavia.   You can see pictures from the trip here

For those of you who are members of Nancy's family (that would be the Peterson/ Carlson/ Nelson/ Martensen/ Thyggesen/ Schmidt/ Palm/ Natsell/ Goede family), you might be interested in the material on her new FamilyFiles site.  There, you can find genealogical information, maps of the places mentioned, and photos of many of the farms and churches. 

Jim and Nancy celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in August, with a picnic after Sunday worship at Mt. Zion.  Hugh is off to college at the University of Illinois at Chicago, so he's not going far, but he'll live on campus.  He's planning to major in political science.  We were very proud that he was named the top student at his high school in the social studies department last year.  Robert will be a junior at Richards High School.  Lots of markers this summer!
